Corrosion-resistant stainless steel piping for the chemical industry
316L stainless steel pipes, flanges, tees, reducers and leak-tight instrumentation connections for lines carrying corrosive fluids.
In chemical plants, piping is in constant contact with corrosive fluids such as acids, bases and solvents. Choosing the right stainless steel grade is the most effective way to reduce the risk of leaks and downtime; 316L is preferred in chloride-containing environments, and 304 / 304L in general applications.
You can combine welded stainless steel pipe (EN 10217-7), plate and blind flanges, lap joint flange and stub end solutions, reducing tees and caps, and SS316 instrumentation fittings in a single quotation. Specify the fluid and operating conditions; we will provide technical support in material selection.

Selection notes
For the right material and connection
If you state these points in your quote request, we will pin down the right product together the first time.
- State the chemical composition and temperature of the fluid in your quotation request.
- Consider grade 316L in chloride environments and grade 304L in general chemical applications.
- Lap joint connections make assembly easier at points that are serviced frequently.

Have a question?
If you can't find the answer you're looking for, write to us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Which stainless steel grade should I choose for chemical lines?
Molybdenum-bearing 316L is often used in chloride-containing environments, and 304L in general chemical applications. The composition and temperature of the fluid determine the exact choice; if you share this information, we will evaluate it together.
